CYREN ROMEO

Cyren Romeo (they/them) is a fat queer nonbinary and autistic human who has been a writer since they were eight years old reading their original stories to their elementary class every show and tell.

They have taught multidisciplinary writing classes for close to a decade - from zine making to collage journaling to how to translate your lived experience when speaking to legislators. Cyren is an immersive and interpersonal storyteller with a liberation and decolonial lens. They approach educating others as a collaborative process therefore they strive to adapt and learn from their students and tailor their lessons to their student’s neurochemistry.

When they aren't working on their two books or collage projects, they are spending time with their chosen family, organizing A Big Gay Market, building A Third Space, and hanging out with their rescue kitties, Eliza and Meeko.

Storytelling is a form of resistance because our lived experiences are a revolutionary act
